Job Purpose
The UNV People & Culture Officer will support the Cote d’Ivoire Country Office's People & Culture management, focusing on Learning & Development, Innovation, change management, and People analytics. This role contributes to enhancing staff capabilities and optimizing HR processes within UNICEF's mission to safeguard children's rights and well-being globally. The officer will assist in implementing effective client services to attract and retain high-caliber staff, ensuring the efficient operation of HR functions and contributing to the overall success of UNICEF's programs in the region.
Responsibilities
Under the People & Culture Manager's supervision, the UN Volunteer will support strategic People & Culture initiatives by researching and implementing best practices in P&C management, focusing on Learning and Development and Digitalization. Responsibilities include supporting UN volunteer recruitment, career development, and performance management. The role involves providing support for data analytics and learning & development activities, and assisting supervisors in delivering efficient client services. The officer will analyze HR issues, recommend solutions, and interpret guidelines. Key tasks include designing and delivering staff learning plans, contributing to competency mapping, recommending cost-effective learning products, and participating in capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, the role will involve leading the development of the P&C SharePoint page, digitalizing HR processes in collaboration with ICT, interpreting HR data for strategic decision-making, and developing data collection systems for reporting.
Work Experience
Requires 7 years of relevant experience in human resources management. Demonstrated ability in research, planning, and organizational skills is essential. Proficiency in IT systems and tools is required. Strong communication skills for diverse organizations and the ability to empathize while ensuring equitable application of HR regulations are necessary.
