Job Purpose
This role supports WOPA's mission by managing its social media presence across various platforms. The volunteer will develop and schedule engaging content, create compelling captions and storytelling posts, and design visually appealing graphics to highlight WOPA's programs and impact. Key contributions include monitoring social media performance, suggesting strategies for increased visibility and audience interaction, and supporting content planning for campaigns related to gender equality and community development. The aim is to enhance WOPA's online communication and outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will develop and schedule engaging, relevant, and timely content for WOPA’s social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and communication strategy. Responsibilities include creating clear and compelling captions, storytelling posts, and awareness content that effectively showcase WOPA’s programs, impact, and community engagement. The volunteer will design simple, visually appealing graphics using tools like Canva, maintaining brand consistency. Additionally, they will monitor social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, impressions) and propose practical strategies to improve visibility and audience interaction. Support will also be provided for content planning, including generating ideas for campaigns and thematic posts related to gender equality and community development.
Work Experience
Proven experience in managing social media accounts for organizations, brands, or initiatives is required. Candidates should possess strong content creation skills, including writing engaging captions and developing audience-centered messaging. Proficiency in basic graphic design tools like Canva is necessary. Familiarity with major social media platforms and their engagement strategies is also expected.
