Job Purpose
This role supports the development of educational and promotional video content for the MoralityCode app, an initiative by Action Lab For Development. The app integrates ethics, compassion, and community values into digital and offline environments, promoting fairness and well-being. The volunteer will contribute to creating clear, accurate, and engaging videos that explain the app's purpose, demonstrate its usage, and highlight the importance of ethical digital and real-world behavior. The goal is to support informed and responsible choices for families, youth, students, and professionals.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will collaborate to produce educational and promotional video content for the MoralityCode app. This includes creating one video and one script weekly. Responsibilities involve recording and producing short video tutorials (1-2 minutes) demonstrating app download, installation, and setup, with the volunteer appearing on camera. Additionally, creating a short promotional video (1-2 minutes) on ethical digital/offline behavior and the app's role in responsible decision-making is required. Editing video content for clarity, pacing, and visual quality, including screen recordings, is essential. Coordination with a content writer to ensure script-visual consistency is also a key task.
Work Experience
Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, or Camtasia is required. Familiarity with screen recording tools is an asset. The ability to produce concise, high-quality educational videos and strong writing/editing skills are also necessary.
Skills
Proficiency in video editing software, comfort appearing on camera, clear communication skills, strong writing and editing abilities, and collaborative remote work skills are essential. An interest in ethics, digital responsibility, and community well-being is also valued.
