Job Purpose

This role seeks online volunteers to assist LESCOTA in developing a robust fundraising strategy. The primary goal is to leverage online fundraising platforms effectively to secure funds for the construction of the Mango Pre and Primary English Medium School in Matekela, Tanzania. Volunteers will provide expert advice on platform management and strategy development, guiding the organization to enhance its fundraising capabilities. The ultimate aim is to ensure the continued progress of this vital educational infrastructure project, supporting the organization's mission to empower rural children.

Responsibilities

Online volunteers will collaborate with the program director to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Key responsibilities include advising on the effective use of chosen online fundraising platforms and guiding the strategy's implementation. Volunteers will focus on strategic advice rather than direct fundraising activities, such as submitting funding requests or soliciting donations. The role requires strong teamwork and communication skills, with all interactions conducted via WhatsApp and email. Specific volunteer roles may include Engagers (building relationships), Connectors (leveraging networks), Askers (skilled in donation requests), and Stewards (nurturing donor relationships).

Work Experience

The role requires volunteers with strong proficiency in managing and/or experience with non-profit online fundraising platforms. Commitment, teamwork, strong communication, and fundraising skills are essential. Experience in specific roles like engaging donors, making connections, asking for donations, and stewarding relationships is desirable.
