Job Purpose

The ICT Support Assistant will contribute technical expertise to the UNICEF Lao PDR ICT team, supporting the delivery of ICT services essential for achieving organizational goals. This role involves anticipating ICT needs, developing solutions that integrate technology, digital systems, and data management with UNICEF's business requirements. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the functionality and usability of ICT applications, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the UNICEF office in Lao PDR.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include administering ICT applications to ensure functionality and user experience, analyzing business requirements, and developing specifications for new systems and enhancements. The role involves designing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports for management decision-making, and supporting the development, testing, and implementation of applications and systems, including workflow automation using Microsoft 365 tools. Additionally, the ICT Support Assistant will provide Help Desk support, troubleshoot ICT issues, develop technical documentation and user manuals, and deliver training on ICT systems. Project support for digital transformation, data analytics, and system automation is required, along with preparing performance and inventory reports. The role also includes supporting emergency preparedness by maintaining collaboration portals and providing ICT support during emergency activations, as well as promoting green ICT initiatives and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Work Experience

Requires 1 month of experience in ICT Help Desk and end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, developing digital solutions with Power Apps/Power Automate, advanced Excel for data analysis, and dashboard development with Power BI is essential. Experience in mobile application development, or working with UN/international organizations is an asset. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are necessary.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with UN ICT security policies and data protection standards.
