The organization implements various projects focused on food and nutrition, parent workshops, construction and maintenance of community facilities, childcare, healthcare, and English language teaching. Their current objective is to establish an online presence to share important school information and updates with parents and guardians, ensuring accessibility and security.

Job Purpose

This role supports LESCOTA's mission by developing a new, accessible, mobile-first, and secure charity website. The volunteer will be instrumental in bringing the website from concept to completion, focusing on coding, innovative design, and layout. The aim is to create a platform that effectively disseminates school information and updates to parents and guardians, thereby enhancing communication and engagement. This contribution directly supports the organization's objective of improving the learning environment and opportunities for rural children.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a new charity website. This includes coding, designing an innovative layout, and structuring the site with multiple navigation pages. Key tasks involve building the website from its initial concept through to its final completion, covering all aspects from the homepage design to the overall site functionality and user experience. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure the website is functional, visually appealing, and meets the organization's communication goals.

Work Experience

Required experience includes proven skills and knowledge in website designing. Applicants should be qualified IT personnel with several years of experience in website development. Experience with basic search engine optimization, network diagnostic and analytics tools, and a solid understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices are essential.
