Job Purpose

This assignment seeks to produce a 12-15 minute AI-generated documentary titled "CASHEW: The Golden Opportunity West Africa Is Giving Away." The film will explore the significant economic potential of transforming West Africa from a raw material exporter into a global hub for cashew processing. It aims to educate audiences on the "value-addition gap," visually demonstrate the benefits of local processing for youth employment and rural development, and inspire action from investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs. By leveraging cutting-edge AI video technology, the documentary will present complex economic concepts accessibly, serving as a key advocacy tool for industrialization and economic sovereignty in Africa.

Responsibilities

The volunteer will produce a 12-15 minute AI-generated documentary on West Africa's cashew industry. Key responsibilities include utilizing AI video tools (Sora, Runway, Pika, Kling) to generate cinematic scenes based on a provided script, integrating professional AI-generated narration with an African accent, and editing generated clips into a seamless narrative. The role also involves adding motion graphics, animated maps, and data visualizations to highlight statistics, sourcing and layering background music and sound effects for enhanced quality, and delivering a high-definition (1080p or 4K) video file optimized for YouTube. The volunteer will receive a script, visual prompts, thumbnail concepts, and branding guidelines.

Work Experience

Required experience includes proficiency in AI video generation tools (Sora, Runway, Pika, Kling), advanced skills in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro), and experience with motion graphics for data visualization and animated maps. Audio post-production skills are also necessary. A strong portfolio in documentary or educational storytelling and cultural sensitivity towards African development are essential.
