Job Purpose
The UNV Digital Communication Assistant will support WHO Angola in enhancing its digital presence, public engagement, and multimedia storytelling. The position contributes to strengthening WHO's visibility and reach across digital platforms, fostering public interaction and access to quality health information.
Responsibilities
The UNV Digital Communication Assistant will manage and update WHO social media platforms, developing and implementing digital content calendars aligned with organizational priorities. Responsibilities include producing digital communication materials such as graphics, social media cards, photo stories, and infographics, as well as creating and editing short videos and audiovisual content for health campaigns. The role involves developing innovative digital communication ideas and storytelling approaches to boost audience engagement and visibility. Additionally, the assistant will support the creation of press releases, web stories, and presentations, monitor digital engagement and media trends, and manage the WHO country office website. The position also entails strengthening WHO's digital visibility, increasing the dissemination of engaging content on public health issues, and enhancing coordination with partners and stakeholders.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required, including strong skills in graphic design, visual content production, and video editing for digital platforms. Experience in managing social media, digital engagement, and online visibility strategies is essential. Previous experience within the UN system, NGOs, or international environments is highly desirable. The ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings and adapt to feedback is also important.
