Organizational Context
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN's sexual and reproductive health agency, dedicated to a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. In the Republic of Congo, UNFPA is implementing the TICTACADOS project in partnership with ACBEF. This project involves developing a mobile application with an AI chatbot and educational content on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) for adolescents and youth.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop a structured editorial framework for the TICTACADOS project's mobile application. This framework will ensure the quality, consistency, and safety of the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) content designed for adolescents and youth in the Republic of Congo. The volunteer will contribute to defining editorial principles, structuring priority themes, establishing quality and scientific validation standards, and developing appropriate language guidelines. This role is crucial for the successful development and deployment of an effective educational tool that meets the needs of young people.
Responsibilities
The UNV will be responsible for elaborating editorial principles for SRH content tailored to adolescents and youth. This includes structuring priority themes such as HIV, contraception, gender-based violence (GBV), and menstrual health. The volunteer will define quality standards and scientific validation processes for the content. Additionally, they will develop a framework for inclusive, simple language suitable for young audiences. The role also involves proposing mechanisms for content validation and updates, and overseeing the content for both the AI chatbot and human-generated materials within the mobile application.
Work Experience
Required experience includes development of SRH content or adolescent health content. Desirable experience encompasses digital communication or health education, along with a good understanding of UNFPA/WHO approaches. Fluency in French is also desirable.
Skills
Key skills include expertise in developing SRH or adolescent health content, proficiency in digital communication or health education, and familiarity with UNFPA/WHO methodologies. The ability to develop content with inclusive, simple language suitable for youth is essential.
