Job Purpose
This role supports the UNODC Ecuador office by designing and diagramming multimedia visual assets for the institutional website. The volunteer will create clear, accessible, and user-friendly graphics, including rotating banners for specific programs, informational banners with service details, web spaces explaining institutional functions, and infographics illustrating processes. The aim is to enhance the dissemination of information regarding integral protection services and institutional competencies, ensuring visual coherence with UNODC's brand identity and effective communication with the public.
Responsibilities
Develop visual assets for the institutional website, ensuring adherence to the organization's graphic guidelines, clarity, and accessibility. Specific deliverables include a rotating banner for Integral Protection Services (SPI) and/or Violet Centers, an informational banner detailing SPI addresses and operating hours, a web space design explaining MAPIS (Multi-Agency Protection and Information Spaces) and their functions, and a visual infographic outlining the MAPIS activation process. The volunteer will receive base texts and visual inputs, with ongoing support from the technical and communication teams. Final products must be delivered in editable formats and optimized for digital and web dissemination. The volunteer will also be responsible for making necessary revisions until final approval.
Work Experience
Previous experience in digital graphic design, web layout, creating banners and infographics, and developing communication materials for institutions or social projects is required. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva is essential. Experience working in a team and under pressure is also beneficial.
Skills
Strong visual synthesis and clear communication abilities. Creativity and a good understanding of institutional graphic criteria. Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and capacity to implement requested adjustments. Proficiency in graphic design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva). Teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
