Organizational Context

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) works to promote peace and security, human rights, and development by building a safer world free from drugs, crime, corruption, and terrorism. UNODC supports Member States in strengthening justice, the rule of law, and societal resilience. UNODC Ecuador specifically assists state entities in enhancing crime prevention and access to justice, supporting integral protection services and response mechanisms.

Job Purpose

This online volunteer assignment supports the UNODC Ecuador in designing multimedia content for the activation routes concerning Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for two Ecuadorian state institutions. The volunteer will create visually appealing, clear, and accessible web content, incorporating initiative and institutional logos. The goal is to facilitate public understanding and access to information regarding GBV response services. The volunteer will collaborate with the Attorney General's Office and UNODC communication teams for revisions and edits, contributing to effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities

Develop multimedia designs for the activation routes related to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for two Ecuadorian state institutions. Ensure the content visually incorporates the logos of the initiative and participating institutions. Design the website to be user-friendly, clear, and accessible for a general audience. Utilize provided base files and necessary inputs for the work. Participate in review and editing processes, collaborating with the Attorney General's Office and the communication teams of UNODC Ecuador and involved state institutions. Ensure the final product effectively communicates GBV response pathways.

Work Experience

Requires at least 6 months of experience. Must have demonstrable experience in UI/UX design, proficiency with design and prototyping tools (especially Figma), knowledge of web design and development frameworks, and experience with WordPress website administration and development.

Skills

Proficiency in multimedia design, graphic design, and digital design. Strong UI/UX design skills. Expertise in design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma. Familiarity with web design and development frameworks. Experience in WordPress website management and development. Ability to create clear, accessible, and visually engaging content for a general audience.
