Organizational Context

AfriYAN Gabon is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-denominational organization operating under Gabonese law. Its vision is to mobilize engaged youth to achieve the UN's SDGs by 2030 and the AU's Agenda 2063. The organization aims to unite youth networks, identify and train future African leaders, and foster an environment for effective adolescent and youth participation in development initiatives across Gabon.

Job Purpose

The Online Volunteer will support the graphic design of AfriYAN Gabon's 2025 annual report and the 'Hello Ado' project. This involves gathering information on the document's context, target audience, and branding guidelines. The volunteer will create draft designs, discuss them with the focal point, and develop the final layout according to agreed requirements and organizational branding standards. This role is crucial for effectively communicating the organization's impact and supporting its mission towards sustainable development.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to create high-quality graphic designs for the 2025 annual report and the 'Hello Ado' project. This includes gathering contextual information, understanding target audience needs, and adhering to brand guidelines. The volunteer will develop initial design concepts, present them for feedback, and refine them based on team discussions. The final output must be a clear, concise, and informative design that effectively communicates the organization's impact to stakeholders such as beneficiaries, partners, donors, and the public. This contribution supports AfriYAN Gabon's strategic goals for impact, mobilization, and transparency.

Work Experience

Professional experience in graphic design is required, with a proven track record in document layout design. A thorough understanding of graphic design applications and strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Experience in creating annual reports or similar publications is desirable.

Proficiency in graphic design applications, strong visual design and layout skills, ability to interpret and apply branding guidelines, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team. Fluency in French is required.
