Job Purpose
This role supports the UN Women China Partnerships team in organizing the 2026 Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards. The Online Volunteer will contribute to the timely and quality execution of award-related activities, ensuring a results-oriented approach. The assignment focuses on research, analysis, and logistical support to enhance private sector engagement for the WEPs Awards and the subsequent award ceremony. The volunteer's efforts will directly assist the office in successfully implementing this key initiative aimed at promoting gender equality through private sector recognition.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will provide crucial research, analysis, and logistical support to UN Women China's private sector engagement efforts, specifically for the WEPs Awards. Key duties include reviewing and conducting preliminary analysis of WEPs Awards applications, responding to inquiries regarding the awards and ceremony, and virtually coordinating with external stakeholders involved in the award evaluation process and ceremony preparations. The volunteer will communicate via email and other channels, participate in virtual team meetings, and report to the Public and Private Sector Partnership Specialist. This role requires approximately 16-20 hours of online availability per week for 12 weeks.
Work Experience
Required experience includes market or industry research, data analysis and visualization, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in translation and writing in both Chinese and English is also essential for this role.
