It targets 100,000 startups and 1,000 scaled companies, seeking to mobilize USD 1 billion. The Foundation operates across diverse programs like AI for development and climate innovation, utilizing a network of Innovation Hubs and University Innovation Pods. As it expands, it seeks brand partnerships to enhance its reach and impact across the continent.
Job Purpose
This role supports the timbuktoo Africa Innovation Foundation's brand partnership strategy by developing and executing an email outreach campaign. The Online Volunteer will identify and engage with potential brand partners from the private and public sectors to establish collaborations. The primary objective is to facilitate the conclusion of two brand partnerships per month per role. This involves analyzing target audiences, crafting compelling messages, and coordinating outreach efforts. The assignment offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the Foundation's growth and gain practical experience in campaign development and partnership building within the international development sector.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will collaborate with the brand outreach and communications team to develop and implement a social media campaign. Key responsibilities include defining the campaign's target audience, goals, and desired outcomes. This involves analyzing the target audience to create detailed profiles and crafting specific messages tailored for effective communication. The volunteer will also determine the most suitable communication channels and tools. Furthermore, they will develop a comprehensive implementation plan for the campaign. The role requires proactive engagement, including participating in calls via Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Teams for coordination and discussion, and utilizing provided materials to develop the campaign effectively.
Work Experience
Previous experience in campaign or strategy development is required. Candidates should possess excellent communication and writing/editing skills. A strong understanding of online marketing tools and channels is highly desirable, as is prior experience in designing outreach or marketing tools. This experience will be crucial for effectively contributing to the campaign development and execution.
