Job Purpose
This assignment aims to support a local NGO by compiling a finalized funding application portfolio. The selected Online Volunteers will function as a collaborative research and writing cohort, producing five project proposal drafts and three localized donor compliance matrices. This collective output will be crucial for securing funding and advancing the NGO's objectives. Volunteers will contribute by drafting tailored narratives, conducting localized research on funding opportunities, and providing peer review to ensure technical accuracy and narrative cohesion, directly supporting the organization's project development and fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
Selected Online Volunteers will collaborate as a research and writing cohort to produce a comprehensive funding application portfolio, including five project proposal drafts and three donor compliance matrices. Key responsibilities involve reviewing provided field notes, community data, and project objectives to draft tailored project narratives aligned with institutional funder guidelines. Volunteers will also conduct localized research on active bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic funding windows accessible to civil society entities within their country. Furthermore, they will provide peer-review feedback and editorial alignment on parallel drafts to ensure technical accuracy and narrative cohesion before final submission, all under the supervision of the program team.
Work Experience
Proven experience or specialized training in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or professional proposal development within the civil society sector is required. Strong institutional research capabilities, utilizing international donor databases and philanthropic registries effectively, are also necessary. Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential for adherence to funder guidelines and deadlines.
