Job Purpose
This role supports ACT Alliance’s Global Programme on Migration and Displacement by managing and moderating its new LinkedIn community. The purpose is to amplify the voices and advocacy priorities of ACT Alliance members and partners working on migration, displacement, climate mobility, and human rights. The volunteer will contribute to strengthening ACT Alliance's digital presence, increasing the visibility of member initiatives, promoting collective advocacy, and fostering engagement with a global audience including civil society, faith actors, UN stakeholders, researchers, and policymakers. The goal is to enhance outreach and visibility through strategic content and community management.
Responsibilities
Manage and moderate the ACT Alliance Migration & Displacement LinkedIn page during its launch phase. Draft, schedule, and publish engaging social media content related to migration and displacement issues. Support the development of communication and audience engagement strategies for the platform. Monitor relevant international processes, global discussions on migration, climate mobility, and humanitarian topics. Create short written content, captions, and storytelling pieces for digital audiences. Coordinate with ACT Alliance members and partners to gather content and highlight field initiatives, advocacy efforts, publications, and events. Monitor page engagement, interactions, and analytics to improve outreach and visibility. Assist in promoting campaigns, webinars, reports, and international advocacy moments. Support the development of consistent branding and communication approaches aligned with ACT Alliance's identity.
Work Experience
Experience or interest in social media management, digital communications, LinkedIn content creation, audience engagement, graphic design, journalism, communications, advocacy, storytelling, migration/displacement/humanitarian/climate/human rights issues, community management, online moderation, or content writing/editing is required. Experience with tools like Canva, LinkedIn analytics, or scheduling platforms is an asset.
Skills
Strong written English is required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is highly desirable. Skills include social media management, digital communications, content creation, audience engagement, graphic design adaptation, journalism, advocacy, storytelling, community management, online moderation, content writing, editing, proofreading, and strategic communications. Familiarity with design and analytics tools is beneficial.
