Job Purpose
This role supports KOSHISH's ongoing programme development by enhancing the quality, clarity, and technical presentation of concept notes, project proposals, and technical documents. These documents are crucial for improving access to community-based mental health services, strengthening the inclusion of persons with psychosocial disabilities, and advancing Sustainable Development Goals related to health, decent work, and reduced inequalities. The Online Volunteer's contribution will directly impact the organization's ability to secure funding and implement effective programs.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will review and provide technical feedback on 4-6 concept notes and project proposals focused on mental health, psychosocial support, disability inclusion, community-based rehabilitation, livelihood promotion, and advocacy in Nepal. Key duties include assessing documents for clarity, structure, and coherence; providing technical editing and language support; suggesting improvements for logical flow, articulation of objectives, and sustainability; offering strategic feedback on the alignment of problems, interventions, and results; and identifying gaps or inconsistencies. Feedback will be provided through tracked changes, written comments, and potentially brief virtual discussions.
Work Experience
Required experience includes a background in proposal review, technical writing, editing, programme development, or project design. Familiarity with mental health, psychosocial support, disability inclusion, community development, or humanitarian/development programming is desirable. The ability to provide constructive, detail-oriented feedback is essential.
Skills
Key skills include strong analytical abilities, excellent written communication, proficiency in technical writing and editing, and experience in proposal review and programme development. Desirable skills involve familiarity with mental health, psychosocial support, disability inclusion, community development, or humanitarian/development programming. The volunteer must be detail-oriented and capable of providing constructive feedback.
