Job Purpose
This Associate Programme Officer role in Ethiopia aims to strengthen evidence-based programming in green livelihoods and renewable energy for refugees and host communities. Key contributions include supporting resource mobilization, donor reporting, and promoting integrated approaches across programmes. Responsibilities
The Associate Programme Officer will support the design and implementation of green livelihoods and renewable energy interventions, assisting in proposal development and work plan creation. Responsibilities include coordinating with partners, government entities, and the private sector, and contributing to market opportunity assessments. The role involves monitoring partner activities, collecting and analyzing data, and drafting high-quality donor reports and internal updates. Technical support will be provided on renewable energy, clean cooking, climate-smart agriculture, and green livelihoods, including facilitating capacity building. Engagement in inter-agency working groups and promoting inclusive approaches are also key duties.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required in project management, programme coordination, or development/humanitarian programming. Experience in livelihoods, energy, environment, or climate resilience sectors is essential. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and reporting is necessary. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs, and the private sector, is highly valued.
