Job Purpose
The Communication Officer (Digital Content) will significantly enhance UNICEF Supply Division's communication strategy by creating engaging digital content packages, including audio, video, and graphics. This role involves piloting new multimedia formats and approaches to increase the quality and reach of external and internal digital channels. The officer will collaborate with technical teams and influencers to produce content that resonates with diverse target audiences, including staff, partners, donors, and the public, thereby supporting the division's communication objectives and strengthening engagement.
Responsibilities
The Communication Officer will develop and produce creative digital content packages, incorporating audio, video, and graphic elements. This includes researching, scripting, and shooting content, and creating new formats like short-form videos and animated data visualizations for UNICEF Supply Division's communication strategy. The role involves building a database of UNICEF Youth Advocates and influencers for content creation, and managing outreach and engagement plans. Additionally, the officer will cover warehouse tours and on-site events, providing multimedia coverage and supporting communication tasks. Responsibilities also include monitoring content performance, researching trends, designing communication approaches, and utilizing advanced content production technologies such as professional video recording and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of overall work experience is required, with at least two years specifically in multimedia or digital communication. Experience in producing digital communication materials with strong English writing skills is essential. Experience working in team settings, with online communication, and in international development is advantageous. Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other UN languages is a plus.
