Job Purpose
The Online Volunteer will support Shabab Balad Egypt's efforts to institutionalize its governance systems, operational frameworks, and organizational structures. This involves conducting research to identify and compile global and regional best practices in governance systems, institutional structures, accountability mechanisms, operational policies, and management approaches relevant to youth platforms. The research will provide evidence-based insights and benchmarking examples to inform future governance development processes, ultimately strengthening the organization's internal governance and program delivery.
Responsibilities
Conduct desk research on best practices and institutional models for program platforms and organizational structures. Review existing governance frameworks, operational systems, and accountability approaches of similar initiatives. Identify and document best practices in governance structures, coordination mechanisms, roles and responsibilities, accountability and reporting systems, operational policies, decision-making processes, and organizational sustainability. Compile research findings into concise summaries, presentations, and briefing materials. Support benchmarking and comparative analysis exercises. Organize and catalogue governance-related resources. Provide recommendations and insights based on research to support Shabab Balad's governance strengthening efforts.
Work Experience
Experience in online research and report writing is required. A demonstrated interest in youth development, education, community engagement, or social innovation is also necessary. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
