Inclusion des Peuples Autochtones
Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supports developing countries through advice and advocacy for donations, aiming to foster resilient nations and improve quality of life. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, UNDP focuses on reconstruction, sustainable development, and institutional capacity building. The eastern region faces prolonged conflict, displacement, and intercommunal tensions, particularly concerning land and natural resources. Indigenous peoples, like the Batwa communities, experience structural marginalization, limited access to services, and increased vulnerability. UNDP's interventions adopt an integrated approach, emphasizing the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, conflict sensitivity, and human rights.

By integrating into UNDP's humanitarian-development-peace nexus approach, the volunteer will contribute to strengthening social cohesion, preventing conflicts, and ensuring the sustainability of interventions, aligning with the principle of 'leaving no one behind'. The position is crucial for fostering effective inclusion and building resilient communities in a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
