Job Purpose
This role contributes to improving the nutritional status of individuals affected by Tuberculosis (PAT) by providing a basic food basket, educational activities, and nutritional assessments to support their comprehensive recovery. The objective is to deliver timely and varied food assistance through a food card mechanism, coupled with nutritional guidance and communication for appropriate utilization. The intervention aims to empower users to make smart purchasing decisions, ensuring access to healthy products and confidential information. The role involves tele-orientation calls to guide beneficiaries on efficient resource use and nutritional counseling application, ultimately enhancing their well-being during treatment.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will participate in training sessions covering the project framework, nutritional content, and activity flows. Key duties include conducting tele-orientation calls to beneficiaries assisted by WFP interventions, ensuring high-quality and respectful phone guidance. The volunteer will be responsible for accurately recording information in the MoDa platform as per WFP team instructions and reporting any situations or incidents. A critical aspect of the role is safeguarding personal data and maintaining the confidentiality of information handled, in strict compliance with WFP's protection policies. This ensures the integrity and security of the program's operations.
Work Experience
While not strictly required, prior experience in tele-orientation is considered desirable. The role necessitates knowledge in nutrition/health and experience in database management. Essential practical requirements include having a personal computer or laptop, a functional phone line for making calls within Peru, and reliable internet access to perform the assigned duties effectively.
Skills
The role requires strong communication skills for tele-orientation, with a native-level proficiency in Spanish. Essential competencies include knowledge in nutrition/health and database management. The volunteer must demonstrate the ability to provide respectful and dignified treatment, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to WFP's data protection policies.
