Job Purpose
This assignment supports IOM's Supply Chain function by contributing to the implementation of the TerraMar Fleet Management System, with a focus on the new Transport Booking Module. The role will assist Missions globally in transitioning from manual fleet management processes to a system-based approach for transport booking and fleet utilization. The objective is to ensure effective, compliant, and cost-efficient fleet operations worldwide through enhanced system adoption and user training, facilitating smoother operational workflows and better resource management.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the Fleet and Asset Management function through training, coordination, and consultation on the Fleet Management System and Transport Booking Module. Key duties include delivering structured training sessions in English and French to Mission Fleet Focal Points, identifying and documenting system errors for the provider, and facilitating discussions on transitioning to system-based fleet management. The role also involves collecting operational feedback from Missions to inform system use decisions, leading discussions on vehicle/seat sharing arrangements to promote resource optimization, and engaging with external organizations on fleet sharing initiatives. Additional tasks may arise from training and discussions.
Work Experience
Required experience includes in-depth knowledge of TerraMar fleet management systems and their transport booking functionality. Demonstrated experience in digitalizing fleet management and transitioning from manual to system-based processes is essential. A strong understanding of cost-saving and vehicle-sharing models between organizations is also required, along with experience in delivering remote technical training and facilitating discussions with field-based stakeholders.
