Job Purpose
The Humanitarian Support Analyst will strengthen UNFPA Myanmar's humanitarian response by enhancing coordination, reporting, planning, and proposal development. This role is crucial for improving internal coordination, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting to donors and stakeholders, and supporting resource mobilization efforts. The analyst will also strengthen planning and tracking systems and manage cross-cutting operational tasks. The position aims to increase operational efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enable more strategic humanitarian leadership within the Country Office, directly contributing to the delivery of essential services in a challenging context.
Responsibilities
The Humanitarian Support Analyst will coordinate and manage reporting processes, including drafting, editing, and quality assurance of donor reports, situation reports, and internal updates. This involves maintaining reporting calendars, consolidating achievements and indicators from various teams, and ensuring reports are clear, results-focused, and meet donor requirements. The role also supports resource mobilization by assisting in the drafting of concept notes and project proposals, coordinating inputs from different units, and tracking proposal pipelines. Additionally, the analyst will provide operational support by facilitating cross-functional follow-up between programme, operations, and finance teams, organizing documentation for audits and reviews, and preparing presentations and strategic notes to support humanitarian response delivery.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian response is required. This includes experience in humanitarian or development settings, with a focus on reporting, coordination, programme support, or proposal development. Experience with UN agencies, INGOs, or donor-funded programmes is an asset, as is experience in complex or emergency settings. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
