They advocate for and support women's socio-economic empowerment and aim to end gender-based violence. The organization maintains a strong online presence, utilizing social media platforms to connect with stakeholders, share impact stories, and promote its initiatives.

Job Purpose

This role supports the Southern Africa Embrace Foundation's communication efforts by editing videos for their social media platforms. The volunteer will contribute to telling impactful stories that promote the organization's initiatives and engage its online community. The assignment involves producing high-quality videos, incorporating motion graphics and soundtracks, to enhance the foundation's outreach and marketing campaigns. The goal is to effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact through compelling visual content, strengthening their digital presence and connection with a wider audience.

Responsibilities

Selected online volunteers will collaborate with the organization's social media team to produce high-quality videos for social media events and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include editing one short video per week (under 10 minutes), incorporating motion graphics, animations, and soundtracks to create impactful stories. Volunteers will utilize provided content from the Social Media Team. Availability for weekly team meetings on Wednesdays at 10 am EST is required. The role focuses on enhancing the organization's visual storytelling capabilities for its online platforms.

Work Experience

Expertise in video editing using software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro is required. A strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling is also necessary. Experience in a development-related field is desirable.

Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.), strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling. Excellent English communication skills (fluent level) are required. Ability to create engaging content for social media platforms is essential.
