Job Purpose
This role supports the UNCDF's Directorate and Asia Pacific team in enhancing its corporate image and visibility. The Online Volunteer will create visual communication products to strengthen UNCDF's brand and thought leadership, both internally and externally. The produced materials will visually communicate UNCDF's mission and impact to donors, partners, and the public, aiding in promoting the organization's work and securing resources. The assignment focuses on elevating UNCDF's communications through compelling visual design, contributing to the overall vision of showcasing achievements and fostering support.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Regional Communications and Advocacy Specialist, the Online Volunteer will develop visual communication products for UNCDF Asia-Pacific. Key tasks include designing and formatting a regional newsletter with reusable visual elements and templates, and creating visually engaging PowerPoint presentations from complex technical and financial content. The role also involves developing a library of user-friendly visual assets for web and social media, such as LinkedIn graphics, simple animations, and infographics, ensuring alignment with UNCDF branding. Additionally, the volunteer will assist in creating communication materials for events, like banners and digital signage, and organize a shared library of visual and multimedia assets for team use.
Work Experience
Proficiency in standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva are necessary. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects or other animation tools is an asset. Experience in graphic design, including typography, color theory, composition, and layout, is expected.

Required skills include computer literacy in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite). Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and PowerPoint is essential, demonstrating a grasp of typography, color theory, composition, and layout design.
