Job Purpose
This role aims to improve the quality and persuasiveness of grant proposals submitted by the Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) to international foundations and institutional donors. By strengthening the clarity, coherence, structure, and language of proposals, the volunteer will enhance GLOWA's competitiveness in fundraising. This contribution is crucial for the organization's sustainability and growth, enabling it to expand its programs that provide rehabilitation, education, and livelihood support to vulnerable populations and survivors of exploitation in Cameroon.
Responsibilities
The Grant Proposal Editor will review and edit draft project proposals to ensure they meet professional, donor-ready standards. Key duties include enhancing clarity, logical flow, and consistency; refining grammar, language, and tone; and strengthening the alignment between problem statements, objectives, activities, outcomes, and budgets. The editor will also improve executive summaries and impact narratives, ensuring proposals are concise, results-oriented, and adhere to donor guidelines. Additionally, the role involves helping to refine standard proposal language templates for future use, working closely with the Executive Director and resource mobilization focal point to maintain a survivor-centered and rights-based approach.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in editing and strengthening grant proposals for submission to international foundations and institutional donors. Skills
