Job Purpose
This assignment aims to enhance health information systems (HIS) critical for robust health governance, performance monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making. The role will support the Ministry of Health in improving the national HIS architecture, fostering interoperability across health programs, and strengthening the use of digital platforms like DHIS2. The incumbent will contribute to building national capacity in health data management, digital health tools, and the effective utilization of data for planning and strategic decision-making, ultimately supporting the achievement of national health development goals.
Responsibilities
The Supply Data Specialist will manage supply chain information by tracking end-to-end corridor supply chains (international and local). This involves consolidating WHO and partner supply chain data into dashboards for operational insights and donor-specific reporting. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, reporting on incoming supplies, and conducting data quality checks with partners on stock management and transport. The role also involves managing partner pipelines for the Health Logistics Working Group (HLWG) by collecting, consolidating, and ensuring the accuracy of weekly updates for the HLWG dashboard. Additionally, the specialist will support the establishment of a digital platform for partner transport support requests, coordinating with the Logistics Coordination Cell for review and approval, and maintaining records of decisions. Regular analytical reports and visualizations will be produced for management and donors, responding to ad hoc information requests.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in information management, supply chain analytics, or humanitarian logistics is required. Experience with UN agencies, humanitarian partners, or cluster coordination is highly desirable. Proven experience in developing dashboards and managing data systems, along with strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel), is essential. Familiarity with humanitarian supply chains and logistics processes is also necessary.
