Job Purpose
This role supports the development of policies and strategies for integrated reproductive health (RH) and family planning (FP) services within UNFPA's program in Benin. The incumbent will contribute to strengthening service delivery, particularly in areas facing security challenges, and will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on sexual, reproductive, maternal, neonatal, adolescent, and youth health. The position aims to enhance access to and utilization of essential health services, contributing to UNFPA's transformative results in family planning, maternal health, and gender-based violence prevention.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for planning innovative initiatives in integrated reproductive health (RH), family planning (FP), and gender-based violence (GBV) services, focusing on vulnerable women and young people. Assist in formulating strategies to improve access to and use of RH/FP services. Support the collection and analysis of data related to RH, FP, and GBV services, including monitoring clinical mentoring and maternal/neonatal deaths. Contribute to research efforts and maintain statistics on GBV, birth registration, obstetric fistula, and female genital mutilation. Participate in the implementation, supervision, and monitoring of Annual Work Plan activities through field visits and review meetings. Prepare quarterly and annual reports on activity progress.
Work Experience
Requires 3 years of relevant experience, including proven experience in planning, managing, monitoring, and evaluating health programs. Practical field experience in reproductive health programs is essential. Specific knowledge in adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health, family planning, maternal and newborn health, and gender equality is required, along with proficiency in office software and project management systems.
