Job Purpose

The Knowledge Management Officer will coordinate and support knowledge and information management for nutrition programmes in Punjab, Pakistan, under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist. This role is critical for ensuring the timely documentation, analysis, and dissemination of programme information, particularly for emergency nutrition initiatives and the DHR-funded Scaling Life-Saving Nutrition for Women and Children project. The position aims to enhance the utilization of quality programme information for improved decision-making, learning, and overall programme effectiveness in addressing malnutrition.

Responsibilities

The Knowledge Management Officer will strengthen knowledge management for nutrition programmes by keeping teams and partners informed on emerging evidence and resources, and by preparing various knowledge products such as reports, briefs, and case studies. Responsibilities include documenting lessons learned and good practices, and facilitating information sharing with UNICEF, government counterparts, and partners. The role also involves supporting emergency nutrition knowledge management, maintaining organized records, and coordinating with teams to ensure timely information for planning and reporting. Additionally, the officer will support data quality, analysis, and use for programme learning, contribute to improving data quality, and provide coordination and knowledge management support for digital information systems like DHIS-2 and ENR integration.

Work Experience

Requires a minimum of 2 years (with Master's) or 4 years (with Bachelor's) of professional experience managing health and/or nutrition information systems. Experience within the UN system, knowledge of local context and DHIS, and experience in planning and monitoring in humanitarian or development contexts are desirable.
