Organizational Context
The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Asia Pacific Regional Office, based in Bangkok, supports operations across 17 countries, focusing on infrastructure, health, procurement, and project management. The South East Asia and Pacific Multi Country Office (EAPMCO) oversees a portfolio of over USD 80 million in projects, including areas like sustainable environmental management and rule of law. This role supports the EU-GOJUST III project in the Philippines, aimed at strengthening the rule of law and access to justice.
Job Purpose
The Communications Associate - Brand and Design plays a crucial role in enhancing UNOPS' visibility and reputation by developing and implementing communication strategies. This position is responsible for creating and editing diverse content, including web stories, press releases, and social media posts, ensuring strict adherence to corporate branding and partner requirements. The associate will proactively manage content production, contributing to the effective communication of project achievements and objectives. This role is vital for visualizing and disseminating key project findings and communications, supporting the overall goals of the EU-GOJUST III initiative in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
The Communications Associate - Brand and Design will ensure all graphic and visual communication products strictly comply with EU and UNOPS visibility requirements. Key duties include designing communication materials, illustrations, artworks, tables, and charts for presentations and promotional content. The associate will determine layout and style for visual elements, and assist in developing infographics to convey core messages effectively. Responsibilities also encompass providing guidance on printing requirements, quality assurance, supporting event-related communication material production, and delivering final web-ready or print-ready outputs. Deliverables include presentations, infographics, fact sheets, posters, banners, social media visuals, report layouts, and custom photo editing.
Work Experience
Requires relevant experience in communications, public relations, media, or journalism. Experience in multicultural environments, UN organizations, or development/humanitarian contexts is desirable. Proficiency in graphic design, video production, and content creation tools is also preferred.
