Job Purpose
The Project Support Associate will provide substantive support to the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities under the NUPPi Project, focusing on drug use prevention and the protection of children and adolescents. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, facilitate operations, and guarantee efficient activity execution in line with project outcomes and internal processes. The position contributes to strengthening drug prevention policies in Brazil and protecting vulnerable populations, aligning with UN norms, national policies, and international standards.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting senior project leadership in stakeholder engagement, capacity-building needs assessment, and program development. The role involves contributing to budget preparation, procurement processes, and risk identification with mitigation measures. The Associate will assist in drafting project agreements and budget revisions. For capacity building and implementation, responsibilities include coordinating logistics for training sessions, workshops, and meetings, and supporting the development of training materials. The role also entails facilitating internal and external communications to ensure operational continuity. In monitoring and compliance, the Associate will develop and update monitoring tools, collect and archive project documentation, contribute to report quality, track project milestones, and ensure adherence to UNOPS policies and donor requirements. Operational support includes coordinating procurement, travel, and inventory management, as well as assisting with HR needs and managing project files. The role also supports knowledge sharing and learning initiatives.
Work Experience
Required: Relevant experience in project support or related areas. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and web-based management systems. Experience in file management and preparing administrative documentation. Desirable: Experience within the UN system and proven experience in project support, including logistics, procurement, travel, or event organization.
