Organizational Context
The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Philippines, as part of the East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO), supports sustainable development initiatives. The Support to Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA) program, funded by the EU and AECID, aims to facilitate the transition in the Bangsamoro region through capacity building. UNOPS provides crucial logistical, administrative, and ICT support for this program.
Job Purpose
The ICT Associate - Systems Support role is pivotal for the on-site technical coordination of the Automated Collection and Monitoring System (AC-AMS) implementation within the Office of the Chief Minister - Information and Communications Office (OCM-ICO) under the SUBATRA Program. This position ensures the reliable and well-documented delivery of the AC-AMS system, adhering to BARMM ICT policies and OCM-ICO standards. The role acts as a key liaison, facilitating communication between the ICT Specialist and the OCM-ICO development team, contributing to the system's successful deployment, operational stability, and the strengthening of institutional technical capabilities for long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
The ICT Associate - Systems Support serves as the primary on-site technical contact for the AC-AMS implementation, maintaining continuous communication with the ICT Specialist and escalating issues promptly. Responsibilities include supporting the monitoring and troubleshooting of Linux server environments, verifying environment configurations, and assisting with deployment activities under the OCM-ICO DevOps and Network Lead. The role also supports development tooling, participates in agile delivery processes, and ensures adherence to established workflows and standards. Upholding operational quality and security, the incumbent assists in verifying compliance with ICT governance and security standards. Furthermore, the position is responsible for maintaining technical documentation, preparing progress reports, and contributing to knowledge transfer initiatives to build the OCM-ICO's capacity for long-term system operation and maintenance.
Work Experience
Requires relevant experience in ICT operations, systems administration, technical support, or IT infrastructure. Must have working knowledge of Linux server environments and experience supporting the software development lifecycle (version control, testing, deployment). Desired experience includes Agile practices, AI-assisted tooling, and supporting hardware/network deployment.
