The office provides leadership, operational support, and oversight in key areas, contributing to sustainable infrastructure and better quality of life across the continent.

Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and timely transportation of authorized personnel, cargo, and hazardous goods. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, courtesy, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility. The incumbent must adhere to all security protocols and demonstrate an ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse national and cultural backgrounds, upholding organizational and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for personnel and cargo, including airport meet-and-assist services. Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs and ensure vehicles are kept clean and in good working condition through routine checks and minor repairs. Coordinate major repairs as needed and ensure all vehicle documents and supplies are readily available. Respond to accidents according to organizational regulations. Additionally, support administrative functions by assisting with procurement processes, managing inventory records for office supplies, and aiding in facility management by arranging minor repairs and liaising with service providers.

Work Experience

Required experience includes safe driving, defensive driving techniques, and performing minor vehicle repairs. A solid understanding of driving rules and regulations is essential. Experience working in multicultural environments or with UN system organizations in developing countries is desirable.
