UNOPS Myanmar is a key partner in the country’s humanitarian and development efforts, managing significant development funds and serving as Principal Recipient for the Global Fund. The office provides essential procurement, infrastructure, and project management services to various organizations, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective delivery aligned with partner priorities.

Job Purpose

The ICT Associate ensures the secure, effective, and client-focused delivery of ICT services within UNOPS. This role is crucial for supporting ICT strategy implementation, managing infrastructure and systems, and providing technical guidance to enhance service quality and user satisfaction. The incumbent will contribute to network and systems administration, business continuity, and coordinate with HQ and other UN entities to maintain reliable ICT operations and support project implementation.

Responsibilities

The ICT Associate is responsible for implementing ICT and operational strategies in compliance with UNOPS policies. This includes providing fast, friendly, and effective user support, maintaining an inventory of IT assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of UNOPS hardware and software. The role involves advising on IT planning, supporting hardware and software acquisition, and liaising with HQ and local UN agencies on ICT matters. Additionally, the Associate will maintain network connectivity, monitor network performance, safeguard ICT systems and data, and support business continuity and disaster recovery measures.

Work Experience

Required experience includes working in information technology, utilizing office software packages (MS Office 2010+), Active Directory management, Windows servers, and network infrastructure. Experience in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in developing countries, particularly in development or humanitarian contexts, is desirable.
