Job Purpose
The Programme Support Intern will assist the Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa (APRA) Implementation Office by providing multidisciplinary research, analytical, coordination, and communications support. This role is crucial for advancing APRA's objectives through evidence-based programme delivery, effective stakeholder engagement, development of knowledge products, and execution of operational activities. Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern's academic background and skills, offering a practical learning experience in international development and renewable energy.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include conducting research, data collection, and economic/policy analysis using credible sources. The intern will support stakeholder mapping, relationship management, and partnership research, contributing to engagement products. They will assist in drafting and editing communications materials such as briefing notes and presentations, and help maintain knowledge management resources. Additionally, the intern will support programme coordination, event planning, and logistics for meetings and workshops, including note-taking and action tracking. This role offers a learning opportunity to develop research, analytical, writing, communication, and programme support skills.
Work Experience
No prior professional experience is required. However, relevant academic, volunteer, or internship experience in research, data analysis, policy, communications, knowledge management, or programme support is desirable. Strong writing, organizational, and presentation skills are beneficial. Proficiency in standard office tools is expected, with familiarity in analytical or communication tools being an asset.
