Job Purpose
The Learning and Scaling Lead will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive learning, scaling, and evidence synthesis agenda for the LEAF Nigeria programme. This involves translating programme evidence into actionable operational insights and policy recommendations. The role supports the Country Lead in ensuring that lessons learned from program delivery are systematically captured, analyzed, and disseminated to inform strategic decision-making, enhance program effectiveness, and contribute to national policy discussions and system strengthening efforts in education.
Responsibilities
The Learning and Scaling Lead is responsible for designing and implementing the Learning, Scaling, and Evidence Synthesis Agenda, including defining learning priorities and research questions. This involves developing tools for tracking progress, standardizing reporting, and establishing knowledge management architecture for systematic evidence capture and accessibility. The role also focuses on program learning and evidence generation by collecting data, facilitating cross-partner knowledge exchange, and coordinating reports with actionable recommendations. Furthermore, the lead will contribute to program scale-up and sustainability by drafting policy briefs and supporting evidence-based planning. Capacity development of government counterparts on outcomes-based financing and data utilization is also a key responsibility, alongside facilitating learning forums and disseminating lessons learned.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in education, skills-for-employment, development, or policy programs is required. Experience working with national or sub-national governments, particularly in the education or development sectors, is essential. Experience in education policy and systems strengthening, including program scale-up and sustainability, is also necessary. Experience with innovative financing, performance management, or large donor-funded programs is desirable.
