Job Purpose

The Project Manager (Transactional) is responsible for the effective delivery and daily management of projects providing transactional HR services to UNOPS partners. This role ensures HR service delivery is timely, client-focused, and compliant with organizational policies and contractual commitments. The incumbent acts on behalf of the Project Board, overseeing the successful delivery of project outputs within agreed tolerances for time, cost, scope, quality, risk, and benefits, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR service delivery through innovation and process optimization.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing project plans, managing the delivery of HR services, and ensuring quality of work packages and deliverables. The role involves monitoring project progress, controlling variances, managing changes, and advising on risk mitigation strategies. It also requires compliance with UNOPS policies and financial regulations, maintaining project documentation, and supporting audits. The Project Manager will monitor service delivery indicators, prepare regular project and financial reports, and develop stakeholder engagement strategies. Additionally, responsibilities include ensuring quality assurance, fostering knowledge management and innovation within the team, and managing project personnel, including recruitment, performance management, and ensuring safety and security.

Work Experience

Required experience includes project management specific to HR processes or services, HR operations/service delivery, project planning and implementation, managing multiple stakeholders, and leading teams. Experience with project management software tools and using automation or AI for operational improvements is desired.
