Job Purpose
The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst (Database) is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust database system to ensure the accuracy and security of program data for the Community Resilience Project. This role is crucial for driving evidence-based decision-making by consolidating reports, creating data visualizations, and performing complex data analysis throughout the project lifecycle. By leading MEAL efforts, including data verification, survey support, and providing technical assistance to implementing partners and the project management unit, the Analyst enhances program tracking and accountability, ultimately maximizing the initiative's impact and adaptive capacity in a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
The role involves architecting and implementing a robust database infrastructure to track project activities, infrastructure, livelihoods, and beneficiary demographics, ensuring data integrity and uniformity across all implementing partners. Responsibilities include developing data acquisition tools, reporting frameworks, and generating advanced data visualizations to illustrate program impact. The Analyst will oversee database administration, maintain longitudinal progress datasets, and uphold rigorous data security protocols. Additionally, the role requires verifying data through periodic reports, synthesizing field findings, and consolidating implementation data to meet donor requirements. The Analyst will generate real-time and periodic reports, perform detailed data analysis to verify program reach, and extract insights to guide operations and program adaptations, while also contributing to knowledge management and providing training to partner organizations.
Work Experience
Required experience includes research, data analytics, or programming, with a proven ability to analyze data and produce reports. Extensive experience with data processing tools like Microsoft Excel, BigQuery, Google Data Studio, and Power Query is essential for database design, data entry interface development, quality assurance, and report generation. Desired experience includes Geo Mapping, GIS, KoBo, SPSS/STATA, R Studio, and training project personnel in database management.
