Organizational Context
The UNOPS Global Portfolios Office (GPO), with hubs in New York, Geneva, and Vienna, leads multi-regional initiatives supporting sustainable development, climate action, and peacebuilding globally. The Geneva office provides comprehensive solutions in secretariat hosting, operational support, and fund management for various global programmes and partnerships. This role is a Partner Personnel position, engaged by UNOPS to support UNICEF's Digital Impact Division.
Job Purpose
The Knowledge Management Analyst supports UNICEF's Digital Guardrails agenda by developing and delivering integrated knowledge and learning solutions. This role contributes to enhancing information security awareness and behavior change within UNICEF, shaping evidence-based advocacy and communication on digital risks and safeguards, and supporting research and knowledge generation concerning cybersecurity, data governance, and child rights. By enabling collaboration with internal and external partners, the position is crucial in translating knowledge into practical tools, campaigns, and actionable insights for UNICEF staff and stakeholders, ultimately strengthening digital ecosystems for children.
Responsibilities
The role involves designing and improving information security awareness and digital guardrails learning initiatives, including multilingual roll-outs and innovative approaches for behavior change. It includes developing high-quality knowledge products such as guidance materials, briefs, and toolkits, translating technical concepts into accessible content. The analyst will contribute to advocacy initiatives by developing messaging and supporting campaigns, and prepare materials for external engagement. Research support includes literature reviews, synthesis of findings, and drafting analytical outputs on digital risks and child impacts. Additionally, the role supports tracking and analyzing programme data for reporting and strategic decision-making, contributing to dashboards that inform program improvement.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required, including exposure to cybersecurity, data governance, digital policy, or child rights in digital environments. Proven ability to analyze and communicate complex information clearly, and experience contributing to knowledge products, research, or learning content with attention to detail are essential. Experience with learning, content development, or digital communication tools is desirable.
