The UNOPS Global Portfolios Office (GPO) supports sustainable development, climate action, and peacebuilding globally. Job Purpose
The Communications & Advocacy Manager will lead and execute communication and advocacy strategies for the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF), a global initiative focused on transforming education financing and delivery. This role is crucial for enhancing EOF's visibility, supporting its programmatic objectives, and advancing its mission to improve learning and employment outcomes for disadvantaged children and youth. The manager will report to the Head of Communications & Advocacy, playing a key part in aligning institutional messaging with programmatic goals and ensuring effective outreach to stakeholders. The position contributes to EOF's overall impact by driving systems change and promoting accountability in education.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans for EOF's programs in collaboration with Program Managers and Country Leads, ensuring high-quality, aligned messaging and timely content delivery. Lead the planning and execution of communications and advocacy events, including securing speaking opportunities and managing EOF's event calendar to maximize impact and support partnership goals. Drive thought leadership communications to support EOF's partnerships and fundraising efforts. Manage the integrated content marketing operation, overseeing the production of diverse content (written, visual, multimedia) and developing editorial calendars and storytelling approaches for maximum engagement across channels. Write, edit, and support content creation for various platforms, including articles, reports, case studies, and marketing collateral. Manage EOF's social media channels, including strategy, content creation, community management, optimization, audience growth, and performance analysis.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience is required with a Bachelor's degree, or five years with a Master's degree. This experience should include communications and advocacy responsibilities, developing and implementing communication strategies, and leading international communication activities. Experience in primary education, innovative finance, or the international development sector is desirable.
