Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Senior Programme Manager and Senior Information Systems Officer - HR-IT, this ICT Specialist role is crucial for supporting the Enterprise Solutions Service (ESS). The position will focus on the Inspira (UN Talent Management System) and related applications, contributing to the development and support of enterprise solutions that integrate core systems, processes, and data across the organization. The incumbent will leverage technical expertise to enhance and maintain critical HR-IT systems, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness in supporting UNOPS's strategic objectives and global operations.

Responsibilities

The ICT Specialist will provide advanced technical architecture support for Inspira, focusing on PeopleSoft modules, customizations, and workflows. This includes designing and implementing AI-enabled solutions for talent and performance management, utilizing machine learning and automation to improve business processes. The role involves developing and maintaining PeopleSoft components (PeopleCode, Application Engines, Component Interfaces), performing SQL tuning, and troubleshooting performance issues. Additionally, the specialist will design, develop, and support APIs and system integrations across enterprise platforms, ensuring secure and scalable data exchange. Key responsibilities also include engaging with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, designing technical solutions, and implementing monitoring tools to evaluate system performance. Optimizing support procedures and coordinating with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction are also critical duties.

Work Experience

Required experience includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise information systems, particularly ERP and talent management systems like Inspira or Umoja. Experience in implementing technology solutions, integrating enterprise applications, and preparing technical documentation is essential. Desired experience involves leading digital transformation initiatives, configuring HRMS modules, and applying emerging technologies and data analytics.
