Job Purpose

The Civil Engineer applies fundamental engineering concepts to collect and analyze data, supporting specialists and managers in complex infrastructure projects. This role contributes to the design and implementation of infrastructure projects by interpreting basic rules and procedures to identify issues and propose initial solutions. The Civil Engineer provides crucial technical analysis and support, enabling informed decision-making for project success and the effective resolution of technical challenges.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing technical analysis and support for infrastructure projects by collecting, cleaning, and consolidating technical, structural, and financial data. This involves analyzing parameters related to stability, materials, and performance, and applying conceptual models and specialized software for design and optimization. The role requires interpreting regulations and codes to ensure compliance, identifying technical risks or discrepancies, and preparing high-quality technical inputs and reports. Additionally, the Civil Engineer supports quality assurance by verifying project conformity with specifications and contractual requirements, monitoring quality control documentation, and analyzing test results to recommend corrective actions. Support is also provided for project documentation, contract management, and the maintenance of project databases and control systems.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of experience as a project or supervising engineer in infrastructure or building projects is required. Proven experience in the development, design, or monitoring of infrastructure projects is essential. Practical experience in vertical construction projects and projects funded by international organizations is desirable.
