Job Purpose
The HR Intern will support the Human Resources Unit within the UNOPS South Sudan office, gaining practical experience in various HR functions. Under the guidance of the HR Officer, the intern will assist with recruitment processes, HR administration, and contribute to knowledge management and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed as a learning opportunity for fresh graduates, exposing them to UNOPS' HR practices and contributing to the efficient delivery of HR services to the portfolio and hosted entities.
Responsibilities
The HR Intern will provide comprehensive support to the Human Resources Unit. Key responsibilities include assisting with recruitment campaigns, longlisting/shortlisting candidates, administering assessments, and providing logistical support for recruitment processes. The intern will also support HR administration by managing contracts in the ERP system, contributing to interview question development, and coordinating payments. Additionally, the role involves supporting the HR Officer with policy advice, contributing to knowledge management projects, suggesting process improvements, and participating in training on HR methodologies and UNOPS systems.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, prior experience with Google Suite applications is considered desirable.
