Job Purpose
The STEM Trainee will support SEforALL's energy access initiatives in Mozambique, focusing on technical project assistance, operationalizing renewable energy financing mechanisms, and enhancing stakeholder engagement in the country's energy transition. This role provides hands-on experience in clean energy and SDG 7 financing, combining practical project support with professional development. The traineeship aims to equip recent women graduates with the technical expertise and soft skills necessary for a career in the global sustainable energy sector, contributing to a just and equitable energy transition.
Responsibilities
The STEM Trainee will support specific SEforALL or partner initiatives in Mozambique, participating in daily activities and site visits. Key duties include facilitating Clean Cooking Working Group meetings by coordinating logistics, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items. The role involves supporting the PURE Facility Pilot by conducting research, analyzing data on costs and barriers, and developing awareness materials. Additionally, the trainee will assist with geospatial energy planning and data analysis, including data collection, cleaning, processing, and visualization for electrification and clean cooking projects. Responsibilities also extend to supporting the production of analytical briefs and evidence-based insights, and creating engaging digital content for communications and social media to promote project visibility.
Work Experience
No prior work experience is required for this traineeship. However, previous experience in energy, engineering, finance, communications, or related fields would be considered an advantage.
