Senior Ecosystem Engagement Specialist (Part-time at 30%)
Organizational Context
UNOPS' Global Portfolios Office (GPO) in Geneva supports diverse global initiatives advancing sustainable development, climate action, and peacebuilding. It collaborates with governments, financial institutions, and UN agencies, offering project management, fund management, and HR support. This role is part of the Digital Inclusion team within the Digital Impact Division, focusing on expanding digital infrastructure for children globally.
Job Purpose
This part-time role (30%) serves to enhance Giga's/DI engagement with high-value stakeholders and strengthen its presence within the Geneva, Swiss, and global ecosystems. The specialist will provide strategic advisory support, focusing on developing targeted initiatives in events, partnerships, and cultural engagement. The aim is to foster visibility, build collaborations, and potentially mobilize resources, contributing to UNICEF's mission of accelerating digital access for children worldwide.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the design and delivery of targeted events to engage high-value stakeholders, partners, and prospective donors, contributing to event concepts and audience curation. It includes strengthening engagement with key Geneva and Switzerland-based stakeholders such as WEF, CCIG, and FER, identifying collaboration opportunities. Strategic support will be provided to the Giga Photo Contest, including exploring partnership and sponsorship opportunities. Additionally, the role will contribute to developing one key art-related collaboration and provide input on communications and media opportunities linked to key initiatives.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including several years in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, event strategy, or communications, preferably within an international organization. Strong understanding of the Geneva and Swiss ecosystem and experience engaging high-level stakeholders are essential. Excellent English and French communication skills are necessary.
