Organizational Context

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Asia Pacific Regional Office oversees operations in 17 countries, focusing on infrastructure, health, procurement, and project management to support sustainable development. The South Asia Multi-Country Office (SAMCO) specifically supports six countries, providing expertise in climate change, WASH, infrastructure, and procurement. This internship is situated within SAMCO's "Design and Inception Phase" of the South Asia Energy Transition Collaborative Platform (SA-ETCP).

Job Purpose

The purpose of this internship is to support the development and content curation of the South Asia Energy Transition Collaborative Platform (SA-ETCP) Digital Knowledge Hub. The role is crucial for transforming the platform from a concept into a functional, data-driven resource. The intern will act as a Knowledge Broker, identifying and synthesizing relevant policy and technical data to demonstrate the hub's value to the region. Additionally, the intern will contribute to resource mobilization by creating "investor-ready" content, such as donor pitch decks and country factsheets. By organizing the repository into stakeholder-specific portals, the intern will ensure the hub effectively supports regional coordination, donor alignment, and the mobilization of climate finance for South Asia.

Responsibilities

The intern will primarily support the development and management of the Knowledge Hub by assisting with stakeholder-centric curation, mapping, and cataloging regional energy data. This includes adapting global best practices for South Asian contexts and organizing data for the "South Asia Energy Transition Dashboard." The role also involves synthesizing technical findings into policy briefs and investor factsheets. Furthermore, the intern will support partnership building and resource mobilization through donor mapping, assisting in proposal development, coordinating strategic events, and maintaining stakeholder directories. Finally, the intern will provide documentation and project coordination support, gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned, and ensuring the portal's accuracy.

Work Experience

Desired experience includes familiarity with the South Asian energy landscape, experience in desk research and synthesizing technical documents, organizing digital libraries or databases, proficiency with Google Workspace, and prior experience in stakeholder mapping or supporting resource mobilization efforts.
