Job Purpose
The HR Associate is responsible for administering and implementing Human Resources Management services to support optimal employee and talent management. This includes managing recruitment processes, workforce planning, and onboarding, ensuring adherence to UNOPS policies and best practices. The role also involves advising personnel and management on HR systems, processes, and entitlements, acting as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries. Additionally, the HR Associate contributes to HR policy development, supports corporate HR initiatives, and promotes knowledge sharing within the organization, ultimately enhancing compliant HR execution and organizational performance.
Responsibilities
The HR Associate supports end-to-end talent acquisition and HR administration processes, ensuring compliance with UNOPS policies and efficient talent acquisition practices. Key duties include assisting with recruitment processes, workforce planning, and onboarding, as well as providing guidance on HR systems, contracts, performance management, benefits, and personnel processes. The role also involves contributing to HR policy development and corporate HR initiatives, collecting data on trends, and sharing best practices. Furthermore, the HR Associate acts as a liaison, provides advisory services on HR matters, and supports knowledge building and sharing through training initiatives and the dissemination of best practices, thereby strengthening organizational effectiveness and client service.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in HR advisory, recruitment, or generalist services within an international or national organization is required. Proficiency in MS Office and web-based management systems is essential. Experience with HR information systems, enterprise systems like OneUNOPS, and knowledge of UN system organizations and policies are desirable.
