It provides essential systems for project implementation and corporate initiatives, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement. The AI Centre of Excellence is being established to roll out robust AI infrastructure and innovative solutions, enhancing UNOPS' operational efficiency and impact through cutting-edge technology.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the AI Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead, the AI Adoption Coordinator will spearhead the delivery and rollout of AI solutions across UNOPS. This role is pivotal in managing stakeholder communications and engagement, and coordinating operational activities within the AI Practice. The primary objective is to drive AI adoption throughout the organization, ensuring that implemented solutions yield measurable efficiency gains and elevate the quality of UNOPS' outputs. The coordinator will bridge the gap between AI technology and organizational change, facilitating the practical application of AI to enhance project delivery and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
The AI Adoption Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery and rollout of AI products to field offices and HQ, including developing comprehensive rollout plans and coordinating with local IT focal points. This involves driving AI adoption through hands-on engagement, documenting manual workflows, and translating operational challenges into actionable AI use cases. Field assessments will be conducted to evaluate readiness, ensuring compliance with AI ethics and data privacy frameworks. The role also entails serving as the main point of contact for business stakeholders, coordinating engagement with UN agencies, and preparing briefing materials for high-level forums. Operational coordination across the AI CoE is crucial for fostering innovation and guiding initiatives through approval processes. The coordinator will manage active rollouts, track progress, risks, and timelines, define and track KPIs for impact measurement, and maintain reporting dashboards. Additionally, the role includes delivering training sessions, workshops, and onboarding materials, establishing feedback loops, and acting as the primary escalation point for field offices.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience (with a Master's) or 7 years (with a Bachelor's) in project coordination, technology rollout, or program support within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. A minimum of 2 years of experience in change management, technology adoption, or user enablement is necessary. Demonstrated experience with AI models, tools, or platforms, and coordinating across distributed teams is essential. Experience supporting technology solution adoption and delivering training to non-technical audiences is also required.
