Job Purpose
This role is crucial for the EU-GOJUST III project, aiming to strengthen the rule of law in the Philippines by enhancing justice services and access, particularly for women and vulnerable populations. The Capacity Building Specialist will design and manage training interventions, facilitate high-level workshops, and oversee program execution to achieve project objectives. This involves close collaboration with IDLO and UNOPS to develop activity designs, methods, and requirements. The specialist will ensure proper documentation of processes and outputs, providing insights for continuous improvement of interventions and contributing to the overall success of the justice sector reform initiative.
Responsibilities
The Capacity Building Specialist is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and management of training, workshops, and multi-stakeholder events aligned with the EU-GOJUST III workplan. This includes developing learning designs, modules, and educational materials for both online and in-person activities, and creating detailed workshop methodologies. The role involves coordinating with experts to finalize topic content and delivery plans, and ensuring pre-work is completed. The specialist will anchor facilitation using interactive methods, manage event logistics, coordinate daily debriefings, and guide the development of measurement and evaluation tools. Additionally, they will oversee documentation of activities, outputs, and assessments, and submit comprehensive summary reports with key findings and recommendations.
Work Experience
Required experience includes designing and delivering high-level, multi-stakeholder training, workshops, or events within the Philippines, preferably involving government agencies, CSOs, and donors. Desired experience includes working in the Philippine development sector, particularly with international organizations, the justice sector, and in program design, implementation, and M&E.
